Is linen included in the price?

Yes, it is included for Welcome and Hoseasons guests.  You need to collect your laundry from reception.

What’s the best way to sort the single from the double linen?

Linen with red stitching is double and blue stitching is single.


Is electricity/gas included in the price?
Yes, it is included for Welcome and Hoseasons guests.


Do I need to bring towels?
Yes, you will need to bring your own towels, however you can hire them from reception if you need to.


Are cots or cot linen supplied?
We do not supply cot linen, but you can hire travel cots from reception.


Are beds made up on arrival?
No, linen should be collected on arrival from reception, we are unable to make beds.


What size are the beds?

In Bungalows (Wavesurfer, Sandsurfer and Starsurfers)  the beds are standard size beds, i.e singles are 2′ 6″ or 3ft and doubles are 4′ 6″.

In Lodges (Casitas, Casamigos, Casafinas) 3 of the single beds are 3 ft [standard size] and the 4th is a 2′ 6″ pull out bed. The double beds are 4′ 6″.

Beds sizes in caravans vary.


Do you offer adapted holiday homes?
We do not have specially adapted holiday homes, but much of our accommodation may be suitable for wheelchair use. Please telephone 03451 656265 for advice or click here for more information.


Do you have holiday homes which take 9 guests?

Yes, our Starsurfer Bungalows sleep up to 9 guests.


Can I reserve a specific caravan, lodge or bungalow?

If you are booking a week with us you may select a specific accommodation number for an additional £15 administration charge subject to availability.

Please note that if you do not select a specific accommodation then your unit will be allocated randomly.

Does the park have internet access / Wi-Fi?

How far is the nearest beach?
Dawlish Warren beach is about a 10 minute level walk away.


How far is the nearest train station?

Dawlish Warren Train Station is about a 5-7 minutes level walk away. You can pick up a train time table in reception or check out train times and buy tickets from the Great Western Railway website.


Are there bus stops nearby and where do the buses go?
Yes, there are bus stops just along the road (about 5 minutes level walk) and the buses go to  Dawlish, Teignmouth, St Marychurch and Torquay.  Visit Stagecoach website to plan your journey or pickup a timetable from reception.

Is Crazy Golf free?

What is the menu at Welcome Bite?

What is the evening entertainment schedule?

How much are the Fun Passes if I am staying in privately owned accommodation?

2018 prices are as follows:

  • Pool Fun Pass:  £1.50 for adults and £1 for children per day
  • Entertainment/ Cruisers Club Fun Pass: £1.50 for adults and £1 for children per day

So if an adults requires a week pass for both club and pool it will be £21 for the week and for a child it will be £14.

The minimum number of consecutive days that you can purchase a pass for is 2.

Passes are available from reception during opening hours.

If Reception is closed you can purchase a one day £2.00 pass from our Cruisers Club but you will need to show your accommodation keys.


I am staying on another park, can I purchase a Fun Pass and use your facilities?

Sorry, but our facilities are only for the use of guests that are staying with us on site.




What swimming pools are there at Welcome Family?

How do I book a holiday at Welcome Family?

When do I have to pay the balance of my holiday?
Full payment is required 6 weeks before you arrive. If, when you made your booking, you opted for automatic payment, you do not need to worry as payment will be taken from your card.  If you want to pay your balance manually you can click here to make a payment or telephone 03451 652625.

Are there supermarkets near to Welcome Family?
There are a couple of small supermarkets just across the road. The nearest large supermarket is Sainsburys, which is a couple of miles away and in Teignmouth there is a Waitrose and Morrisons.  There is also Tesco and Asda in Newton Abbot.


Can I get my on-line shopping delivered to the site?
Most supermarkets can deliver online orders to the park – to do this you can usually  add a temporary delivery address: Welcome Family Holiday Park, Dawlish Warren, Devon EX7 0PH.

To avoid confusion, we suggest that you add a note to the order for the driver to phone you when they arrive and that you meet them at the reception car park.  Alternatively, if you know your accommodation number,  add it to the booking then we can direct the driver to the correct area of the park.

Shopping should not be delivered until after 4pm on the day of arrival.



Can I buy a caravan?

Sorry, but we do not currently have any caravans for sale.


Where can I buy Welcome merchandise? 


Do you do Sun or Newspaper holidays?
No, we don’t, but our holidays are great value and include entertainment passes, linen and electricity unlike most voucher holidays, plus you get to choose exactly when you want to come and stay!


Can I take my dog on the beach?


What events are on around Dawlish?
Most years we have a carnival in Dawlish – in 2017 it is scheduled for 12th – 19th August.  For more information about events around Dawlish Warren, click here.


There are ants in my accommodation, what should I do?
Because our grassy pitches here at Welcome are the perfect environment for ants’ nests, we occasionally have ant colonies. It is practically impossible to eradicate ants permanently, so in order to minimise their intrusion into our lives please carefully dispose of food waste in the bins provided and empty regularly.

Should these measures fail to deter the ants from paying you a visit, please let us know at Reception.  But, don’t worry – ants might be a nuisance, but those found in this country are absolutely harmless – they don’t sting or bite, they’re just hungry!



Can I have a barbeque?
We do allow barbeques but please respect your neighbours, keep the barbeque well away from your caravan and most importantly, do not dispose of the ashes in the bin until the following day when you are sure they are cold. You must not put barbeques on the steps or verandas of your holiday home.


Has Dawlish Warren beach being refurbished after the storm of 2014?
Much work has been done to repair the damage done to the beach after the storms in 2014 and work is nearing completion.  The main beach is now back to its former glory, in fact it’s looking better than ever, with lovely golden sand and improved accessibility.  For more information on the Dawlish Warren Beach Management Scheme click here.
