There are loads of tourist attractions in Devon. You’ll never be bored with so many things to do, from zoos to adventure parks, unique steam railway journeys and boat trips – the list is endless. The local area surrounding Welcome Family also offers plenty of things to do and see. The nearby town of Dawlish provides shopping, restaurants and pubs and in a relaxing atmosphere. The Dartmoor National Park is popular for walking, horse riding, fishing, golf and water sports – just some of the fun activities available! If beaches are more to your thing, there are plenty of beaches in Devon just a quick drive away.

Babbacombe Cliff Railway is the easiest way to travel down the cliffs from Babbacombe Downs to the delightful Oddicombe Beach. When you alight at the bottom you can relax on Oddicombe Beach and enjoy the fabulous vista.
Babbacombe Model Village on the english riviera is famous for its miniature landscaped gardens, leading it to be branded as one of Europe's Premier Model Villages and one of Torquay's most beautiful gardens.
Bring the past alive at Bygones – wander back in time and visit our life size victorian street complete with shops and pub. Don’t miss the 1940’s and 1950’s arcade of shops. Bygones is three ﬂoors of pure nostalgia for adults and a fascinating insight into the world of over 100 years ago for children.
With over 100 acres of fun and attractions, Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park provides the perfect family value day out, whatever the weather. The Donkey Sanctuary, set within east Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, welcomes visitors to enjoy meeting some of hundreds of donkeys on site. Entry is free but donations are invited to support the charity’s work in rescuing and caring for donkeys and mules in desperate need the world over.
Take a journey around the coasts of the world where amazing animals live life on the edge. You will see a wide range of birds and mammals, including our friendly free-roaming penguins, playful South American fur seals and mischievous Asian otters. With outdoor and indoor exhibits, there’s plenty to see and do whatever the weather.
Come and explore the big wild world at Paignton Zoo, the King of Zoos! Discover more animals than any other zoo in the south west for a really wild time. There are indoor and outdoor play areas, the Jungle Express train (seasonal) and uniquely, six different habitats that mimic the animals’ natural environment.
